Drum Trolleys

Drum Transport Trolleys — Safe Handling of Steel and Plastic Drums

Drum transport trolleys — also known as barrel trucks, drum carts, or drum handlers — are specialist equipment for safe, ergonomic handling of steel and plastic drums in warehouses, production plants, processing facilities, and agricultural operations.

Our GRZES series offers 3 models with load capacities of 250 kg, contoured platforms shaped to fit standard drum profiles, and large pneumatic wheels for smooth operation on any surface.

Technical Features

European manufacture since 1975 — Complete production in our own facility — quality control at every stage.

Robust steel construction — Welded steel frames with contoured drum platforms, powder coated in RAL 5010 as standard.

Contoured transport platform — Every model features a platform precisely shaped to match the drum profile, ensuring stable positioning during transport.

Large pneumatic wheels — 300 mm (4.00×4) on GRZES I and II, 260 mm rubber on GRZES III — all with roller bearings for smooth, shock-absorbing travel.

250 kg load capacity — All three models handle drums up to 250 kg despite own weights of only 18-19 kg.

Ergonomic plastic handles — Comfortable grip that protects the operator’s hands during manoeuvring.

Complete Range — 3 Models

Model Dimensions (mm) Weight Wheels Key feature
GRZES I (T-134/0) 370 x 710 x 1570 18 kg Pneumatic 300 mm Standard upright — tallest model
GRZES II (T-134/1) 390 x 710 x 1510 19 kg Pneumatic 300 mm Compact version — shorter for confined spaces
GRZES III (T-134/2) 1820 x 750 x 480 18 kg Pneumatic 260 mm Swivel cradle — vertical and horizontal transport

All models: 250 kg load capacity, roller bearings, powder coated RAL 5010.

Key Differences Between Models

GRZES I — the tallest model (1570 mm). Classic two-wheeled drum trolley with a contoured platform. Best for standard upright drum transport where height is not restricted.

GRZES II — compact version (1510 mm), slightly shorter for use in confined spaces and under low ceilings. Same 250 kg capacity.

GRZES III — the only model with a swivel cradle, allowing drums to be transported in both vertical and horizontal positions. Features a stabilising support wheel for safe handling under full load. Smaller 260 mm wheels. Accepts drums up to 580 mm diameter x 880 mm height.

How to Choose the Right Model

Upright drum transport only: GRZES I (taller, lighter) or GRZES II (shorter, more compact).

Need to tilt or lay drums flat: GRZES III with swivel cradle — the only model for both vertical and horizontal positioning.

Confined spaces or low ceilings: GRZES II at 1510 mm is the most compact upright option.

Rough outdoor terrain: GRZES I or II with 300 mm pneumatic wheels offer the best shock absorption.

Processing plants with drum pouring: GRZES III — swivel cradle makes controlled tilting easy and safe.

Applications

  • Manufacturing and processing plants — moving drums between workstations, pouring, and storage
  • Warehouses and wholesale depots — drum receiving, putaway, and dispatch
  • Agricultural operations — handling fuel, chemical, and fertiliser drums
  • Workshops and service companies — oil, solvent, and lubricant drum transport
  • Food and beverage production — moving ingredient and finished product drums
