Platform Trolleys - Solid Wheels

Platform Trolleys with Solid Wheels — The ROMEK Series

The ROMEK series is a complete range of four-wheel platform trolleys fitted with solid rubber wheels — designed for indoor use on smooth floors in warehouses, production halls, offices, retail stores, and workshops. Solid wheels are puncture-proof, completely maintenance-free, and leave no marks on floors, making them the preferred choice wherever quiet, clean, zero-downtime operation matters.

All ROMEK trolleys share a welded steel frame with powder-coated finish (RAL 5010), roller bearings as standard, and a 2 fixed + 2 swivel wheel layout for precise manoeuvrability. Every model is manufactured 100% in-house in Poland — including the wheels, tyres, and bearings — ensuring full spare parts availability for years to come.

Flat-deck models — choose by deck size

The ROMEK flat-deck range covers three deck sizes, each available in waterproof plywood or chequered aluminium. Pick the size that fits your space and load profile:

Model Deck (mm) Deck type Weight Capacity Best for
ROMEK H-1 AL 760 x 480 Aluminium 2 mm 19 kg 400 kg Wet/hygienic environments, compact
ROMEK K-1 960 x 610 Plywood 12 mm 24 kg 400 kg Everyday warehouse workhorse
ROMEK K-1 AL 960 x 610 Aluminium 2 mm 22 kg 400 kg Food processing, cold stores
ROMEK VII 1210 x 610 Plywood 12 mm 26 kg 400 kg Long loads, narrow aisles
ROMEK III 1210 x 780 Plywood 12 mm 30 kg 400 kg Maximum deck area (0.94 m2)
ROMEK III AL 1210 x 780 Aluminium 2 mm 27 kg 400 kg Large deck, wet environments

Folding model

The ROMEK VI is a lightweight folding trolley with a tool-free folding handle. It folds flat for storage or transport in a car boot — ideal for mobile businesses, events, and small workshops where permanent floor space is limited.

Model Deck (mm) Deck type Weight Capacity Wheels
ROMEK VI 700 x 480 Plywood 12 mm 11 kg 120 kg Solid 125 mm

Mesh-sided models

Looking for trolleys with removable wire mesh side panels to secure loose or stacked loads? See our Mesh Trolleys category — featuring ROMEK I, II, IV, and VII mesh variants on the same solid-wheel platform.

Plywood vs aluminium deck — which to choose?

Both deck types share the same dimensions, frame, and wheel configuration. The 12 mm waterproof plywood deck is the standard choice — durable, anti-slip, and cost-effective for general warehouse use. The chequered aluminium deck (2 mm, tear-drop pattern) adds full waterproofing, chemical resistance, and easier cleaning — making it the right choice for food processing, pharmaceutical, cold storage, and any environment where hygiene or frequent washdowns are required. The aluminium version is also 2-3 kg lighter.

Why solid wheels?

Solid rubber wheels (160 mm diameter on most models, 125 mm on ROMEK VI) offer distinct advantages for indoor use. They never need inflating, cannot puncture, and produce very low rolling noise — suitable for offices, hospitals, libraries, and retail floors. The light-coloured non-marking rubber leaves no traces on polished concrete, epoxy, tiles, or vinyl. Roller bearings ensure smooth, low-effort pushing even at full load.

For outdoor use on rough or uneven terrain, consider the Platform Trolleys with Pneumatic Wheels category — featuring the STACH series with 300 mm pneumatic tyres for superior shock absorption and traction.

Why Agromech?

Every ROMEK trolley is manufactured entirely in-house at our facility in Lubianka, Poland — from the steel frame and powder coating to the wheels, tyres, and bearings. This complete vertical integration means consistent quality, fast lead times, and full spare parts availability. A worn wheel or bearing can be replaced individually, extending the trolley’s service life well beyond its 24-month warranty. We have been manufacturing handling equipment since 1975.
