Safe cylinder transport on stairs and uneven surfaces
The BENEK II is a specialist stair-climbing welding gas bottle trolley designed for safe, convenient transport of technical gas cylinders — not only across level floors but also up and down stairs and over thresholds. It performs reliably wherever durability, safety, and dependability are essential — from workshops and industrial plants to service and installation companies.
Construction and safety
The trolley accommodates cylinders up to 230 mm in diameter and 1700 mm in height. The frame is manufactured from heavy-wall steel sections, powder coated in RAL 5010 (blue) for corrosion and impact resistance. A profiled platform matches the cylinder contour to stabilise the load, and steel securing chains prevent uncontrolled movement. The triple stair-climbing wheel system allows smooth negotiation of steps and edges without the risk of tilting — significantly easing work in multi-storey buildings and on sites with uneven terrain.
Functionality and ergonomics
A built-in tool box stores welding accessories such as electrodes, hoses, regulators, and spanners. Ergonomic plastic handles with hand guards ensure a secure grip and protection against accidental impact with the cylinder or frame.
Running gear
The stair-climbing assemblies use solid rubber wheels (160×34 mm) made from light-coloured, non-marking rubber, manufactured in-house at the Agromech factory. Each triple wheel unit rotates around its own axis, enabling smooth, stable movement over steps. Roller bearings ensure durability and maintenance-free operation.

FAQ
How does the stair-climbing system work? Each side has a set of three wheels mounted on a rotating hub. As the trolley is tilted back and pulled up a staircase, the triple wheel units rotate step by step, maintaining continuous contact with the stair edge for smooth, controlled ascent and descent.
Can it also be used on flat surfaces? Yes — on level ground the triple wheel system rolls normally, providing stable transport just like a conventional two-wheeled trolley.
What type of gas cylinders does it fit? It accommodates standard industrial cylinders up to 230 mm in diameter and 1700 mm in height — including oxygen, acetylene, CO₂, and argon bottles.
Are the wheels non-marking? Yes — the light-coloured solid rubber leaves no marks on indoor floors, making the trolley suitable for clean workshop and production environments.
